Some big problems with Win XP and FS9

Featured Replies

Hey Guys!I have some very big problems. A few days ago i wanted to update my FS9 to FS9.1! Well, the message was:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/128589.jpgit means something like updating: Bugtype: 9What the heck does it mean??? i have never had this problem before. The second problem i have is, that i try to install a simple EXE or setupfile from IGfly, and winrar selfextractor opens. It has never done before, it usually opens up the setup and installs. but now it doesnt, also if you try to extract the files, there comes the message: winrar does not know the format - here is a picture:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/128590.jpgso i thought, ok - lets format and update WinXP to service pack 2. So i did, and installed FS9, Winrar and i have the same problems as before, FS9.1 update fails and i can't install the IGfly setup! Please help, i think its a windows problem, but i really dont know what it is, its strange because i never had anything like this before!thanks a lotbyehttp://www.igfly.com/images/betateam.jpg

It sounds like both files are incomplete or corrupted. The Type 9 error usually comes from an incomplete download and the WinRAR error is probably a corrupted file. Have you tried downloading the files a second time and trying it again?Doug
