Saitek Yoke - Hat switch broken?!

I have an issue with my Saitek Yoke that is really annoying, because it's a feature what I need.

 

When I use the hat switch to look around especially while on final approach to complete the checklist, it happens that I cannot go back to my "standard view" looking outside the cockpit. When I click to the right (90 degree position) it stays there. There is no chance to bring it back to the normal position, since just. I actually have had to turn the switch a couple of times 360 degrees and it would then release the 90 degrees position but since just it's not returnable. When I go to the Yoke Properties (Win7) it shows that the hat is permanently on the right (90 degree) position.

 

That seems to me like a hardware problem. I've no warranty anymore! Is there a trick to fix this, because I need the hat switch. Even I use EzDok, it's really good way for quick view changes on final or after departure when flying manually.
