Lost FSX Library

Recommended Posts

Some how I have lost all my FSX scenery Library entries.       I have a copy of the scenery CFG when it was okay.   I have recycled the 'Apply Group' in orbx and now I have most of their stuff back.  But, I'm still missing the Default entries 'Propeller objects, add on scenery  etc.      Seems to me I read somewhere that the 'saved CFG'  when reinserted into FSX would cure the over all problem.    I need to know where to insert  it , if that is the cure,

Any help would be appreciated,    Thanks.

Hi CJ,

You insert your previously saved scenery.cfg into this path:

c:\programdata\Microsoft\fsx.

Note that programdata is a hidden folder, so you have to have the option of "show hidden files, folders, and drives" radio button selected.  To get there - 1. open any system window (i.e. my computer)

2. from the menu, click Tools-->folder options

3. from folder options dialog box, click View tab

4. click "show hidden files, folders and drives" radio button

5. click OK

(BTW, very smart of you to make a backup of that file, and do it before you make any drastic changes!)
