March 24, 201610 yr I'm trying to add some military aircraft (I think it's part of the OpensceneryX library?). When I drop C-17s or F-15s or whatever, they start flying in the air instead of static on the ground. Is there a way to make them static or is it just inherent with some models are "alive" and fly?
March 26, 201610 yr Sounds like your adding animated (fly-by) planes and not static planes. If you look in your openscenery directory, you should see the static planes listed by type (large , small, Military etc) . They should be listed as object files (.obj) I think is the format. I'm not in front of my X-plane computer at the moment, so I'm doing this by memory. The animated planes are in a different format. There are many other free libraries to download other planes, if you don't find what your looking for in Openscenery. Rob
March 26, 201610 yr Author I found what's wrong. Even though they are .objs and under objects, whoever made the library made them "flyby" aircraft. With that said, can someone recommend a library that has modern military aircraft? Openscenery only has a bunch of historic stuff and F-16s. I'm needing some C-17s and C-130s.
