setting proper time zones

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,I am using FS Real Time and I love it for keeping track of my real time here in NY, but if I fly from, let's say, Texas the time is adjusted for NY time and its not correct if I am flying out of Dallas and I was wondering is there a way to fix it or a setting that I have to set or another program that will automatically adjust for the real time zones in the US or even the world?thanksPaul

Just for your info pilots do not care about individual time zones when flying, the international standard for pilots is to use Zulu time (Greenwich). It is not neccessary during the fligt. After landing however they do set their own wrist watches correctly ...Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_beta_member.jpg

thanks mike but you missed my point the time is set for NY time even though i may be flying from Dallas once I am in the air and have the time adjust for different time zones is a bonus but i would just like the intial time from take off in the world to be correct and not set to my system clock or NY time.thanks Paul

you can set the program to auto-update depending on where you fly, if you saved your default flight in new york, that is what the game time will go to no matter where you change your location to. you have to manually adjust the time in the create a flight menu before you hit fly now unless you set the auto-update
