October 11, 200520 yr Does there any source exist for free sectional charts for Alaska (viewable/printable on/from PC offline)? If not, anyone knows good electronic ones and where to buy?Andreas Andreas, LOWW - Nihil sumus et fuimus mortales. Respice, lector: In nihil ab nihilo quam cito recidimus.
October 11, 200520 yr Matt Fox uploaded a set of high-resolution sectionals to the Avsim library. The Alaska sectional is at: http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=52895Another source for sectionals -- for all parts of the US except Alaska -- is: http://aviationtoolbox.org/raw_data/FAA/sectionals/current/
October 11, 200520 yr Hallo Andreas, the link to the "official" Alaskan sectional charts is:http://aviationtoolbox.org/raw_data/OpenEF...LASKA_04132005/The link above will lead you to continental US sectional charts and terminal area charts (subfolder) as stated. Download at night with the trial version of WYSIGOT for example http://www.wysigot.com/ and you avoid having to sit in front of the machine all day long.Good and very reasonable commercial source is http://www.myairplane.com (includes enroute charts). Shipping charges to Europe are moderate, I ordered from Dennis Megarry in the past as well.
October 12, 200520 yr There is also a version of all the Alaska charts set up for FSM Moving Map. Just search AVSIM library for "FSMMM" and you should find them all pretty easily.Matt Fox
October 12, 200520 yr That's not correct, the Alaska charts are indeed downloadable at aviationtoolbox.org, UweR posted the link below and here it is again, http://aviationtoolbox.org/raw_data/OpenEF...LASKA_04132005/All free and very high quality, all terminals and sectionals for all of Alaska.
