Baltic sea rescue question

I am trying to do the Baltic sea rescue mission. I changed the aircraft to the aerosoft Seahawk and when I try to hoist up the victims they won't grab the hoist. When I use the hover approach setting the helo is at about 100 feet but the hoist isn't long enough so I manually did the hover and the hoist was perfect yet they wouldn't grab on. I have watched videos of people grabbing them with the default EH01 that aren't even in a steady hover. Has anybody else had this issue?
