I start FSX SE engines running at the end of the runway and take off. Climb to 10k ft level off and admire the view. The engines cut out and torque falls to zero.

 

Any ideas what is causing this? Thanks.

The engines are over-torquing and failing.  I had this also and finally figured out that 3/4 throttle was needed to keep the needle just inside the red line.  Haven't quit since.

I am aware of over torque and try to keep it out of the red during take off and changing prop speed but I'll give your 3/4 tip a go and see how it goes.
