My Traffic 6 with Aerosofts Mega EDDF

Recommended Posts

With My AI traffic slider set to only 15% in the sim (P3D v3.2) landing at EDDF after a couple hours hop across from EETN saw me struggling to find a parking bay. GSX reported just about every bay as being full. Sure enough, when on the ground, the airport was loaded with AI. Hardly 15%, more like 100%.

With this same setting, many other airports I fly in/out of are sparsely populated as I would expect. Is this an Aerosoft thing? Needless to say that on a flight such as that mentioned above, VAS takes a serious beating right at the end approaching Frankfurt because of this.

I have seen it too here in the USA at St Louis and Chicago's KORD.  I have my sliders set to 25%.  If you land at an eye-candy airport like EDDF, you are going to have problems with VAS and FPS during the taxi phase.  Many airports supplement AI programs by adding static aircraft.  Sometimes, these programs have a configurator where you can go in and remove the static aircraft.

The MyTraffic manual states a 16% density setting has as much life around you as stock FSX has with 100% default traffic.  A setting of 25% will give traffic densities similar to real life.

The other thing I think you need to look at is the GSX configurator in the Addon Manager.  If the spaces are too large or too small for your aircraft model, it will say the gate is not available.  I haven't messed with the GSX configuration at all and I think that is mostly my problems.
