Installing PTA Confusing

Recommended Posts

I just installed P3D v3.3.5...I want to try PTA. Do I unzip it to the desktop or P3D v3.3.5 folder?

p.s. I read the instructions, a little bit confusing.

Thanks

Dick

Dick, I think no reason put it in P3D folder. Just make a new directory, for example, on desktop, and unzip archive into it. In this case all PTA files (presets, settings, backups) will be in this directory.

In addition to what Yuri said (btw thank you so much for this awesome tool!), you can head over to this thread, see what kind of presets users are creating/using and tweak them to your satisfaction. This will give you a bit of a head start into knowing what are acceptable values in PTA and your monitor. Conversely, if you have used Realism Shader Pack (RSP) or Ultimate Realism Pack (URP) before, then check out this thread. It's where users are incorporating RSP/URP values into PTA and tweaking it further to enhance or reduce certain effects.

Either way, PTA is a treat and nearly tops the simulator 'must have' list in my book along with ASN, REX, etc.
