Info / Advice on Saitek Yokes

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I currently have a Saitek Pro Flight Yoke.

I also saw the Cessna model, which I have been told is a little better quality, as well as having the 90 degrees of rotation (not sure if that's a thing or a gimmick).

A yway, so I have the chance of selling my Yoke, amd replacing it with a Cessna one, and looking for input on whether that would be a good move or not.

While I read the Cessna is better, I also saw that there are relatively simple mods one can do to the Pro Flight to improve the quality or rather lower it's shortcomings, and that it seems the same mods cannot be done for the Cessna?

So what would the best option be?

Please note I do not want to spend at this moment the kind of cash that other products like go flight, etc cost, and I don't like the CH yokes either, so not really looking for a third option, just help to decide betweem those two based on what I said before (which mya be wrong of course!)

Thanks!!!

I don't know which mods you are referring to but in my experience no amount of tweaking can redeem the basic Saitek yoke. The only thing I can see you wouldn't be able to do to the Cessna yoke that you can do to the other one is remove the aileron spring, but you shouldn't need to - the reason it has a different aileron spring is because it fixes the basic Pro Flight yoke's aileron problem.

The Cessna yoke is an altogether better yoke so if you can afford it I would sell the other one and upgrade. You could look at my review if you want to know more.
