Realistic Nav lights?

Featured Replies

Hi there, I wanted to know what the best download for realistic nav lights would be? Currently my aircraft lights seem to have a bit of a halo around them and wanted to make them a bit less big.Look forward to repliesgavi25

Hi,Go to... http://library.avsim.net/extsearch.phpThen search for the 'Author'... Mark Pooleairport_lighting_v2.zipalternative_nav_lights.zipnav_light_package.zipLook at his Airport Lighting and Nav Light packages. Is it realistic? Maybe not, but I like it and it will at least give you some direction in the area of what your looking for by reading his documentation concerning the Scalar settings. Also, there are a number of Halo.bmp's available in the Avsim library besides Mark Poole's if you don't like his. The thing of it is some of them are contained in packages that you might not get a hit on from doing a search. For instance, a halo.bmp is contained in the Airport Enviroment Upgrade 7.0 package by Chris Arrington(aeu7.zip), which I like a lot, although I'm not using the halo.bmp from it. If you don't have AEU7 then I recommend you check it out. But, on my system it gave me stutters everytime an airport came into view as I panned my view around the scenery. So, I used DXTBmp to remove the Mip Maps from all of his textures(since I have plenty of RAM) and now the stutter problem is gone. Here's a halo.bmp...Author: Sandon Lyonhalov3.zipHope that helps,OneTinSoldier
