Last year I installed P3D into a 5-yr old system, where I never experienced CTDs.  Last month I bought a brand new system that has made for a very enjoyable experience with very high frame rates and very smooth performance.  I only fly PMDG 737 and 777 airplanes.  

 

However, I get random CTD, and I'm aware that LM addresses CTD issues as it posts new updates to the client.

 

For what it's worth, I stopped having the CTDs by restarting my system after each P3D session.

 

I hope this might be of help to anyone experiencing them.
