  1. I've just been downloading a lot of freeware: AIG flightplans, good basepacks and repaints, and using AIfPv3.2 to install them. They seem tow work OK in P3Dv3. I did buy UT2 in the old days and would love to see a complete update with a simple installer.
  2. Frustrating waiting to see the B77W on PFPX and TOPCAT
  3. Sometimes I simulate delivery flights from KBFI to Europe, which means fuel 100%, payload just pilots.
  4. I'm a big Boeing fan and only fly the 737 and 777 on P3Dv3. Once in a while I use XP to fly the FF 757 and 767, which are commendable and enjoyable efforts that are still not even close to PMDG. What I love about XP is the 64-bit (for example I can circle DD NYC scenery and never get an OOM error) and its stability (never had a CTD). Once PMDG makes makes XP versions of the 737 and 777, I might fully switch to XP, but I also look forward to see how P3D does with 64-bit and if CTDs become a thinkg of the past. I also plan on trying DTG's offering later this year. I think the competition is great and keeps our hobby more interesting.
  5. No issues. FTX Central asked to update, then I downloaded new libraries. Looking forward to part 2 of NA OLC
  6. The PMDG jets are the plans for XP versions, and considering PMDG has described their interaction with Laminar Research as "playing in the sandbox" over the past few years, the PMDG jets might be at a more advanced stage for XP10 than it seems.
  7. Last year I installed P3D into a 5-yr old system, where I never experienced CTDs. Last month I bought a brand new system that has made for a very enjoyable experience with very high frame rates and very smooth performance. I only fly PMDG 737 and 777 airplanes. However, I get random CTD, and I'm aware that LM addresses CTD issues as it posts new updates to the client. For what it's worth, I stopped having the CTDs by restarting my system after each P3D session. I hope this might be of help to anyone experiencing them. Happy flights! Luis
  8. I like the competition aspect of this,a and also look forward to seeing what DTG does with the FSX successor. I've pretty much transitioned from FSX to P3D but use XP10. I exclusively use PMDG 737/777 for flying and truly can't wait to see them in XP10. What I love about XP10 is that I've never seen an OOM error because of the 64-bit capability. For example, I tested the VMax 757/767, which fall short of the PMDG standard, but I flew them over DD NYC and NYC airports scenery package and the performance was very smooth without any memory problems. In the meantime, I'll enjoy the PMDG jets in P3D.
  9. F9 to pause SOLVED! It didn't work the first time, but in the following order 1) Run TRI as admin and 2) run P3D as admin Thanks all! Cheers!
  10. I'll try that.
  11. I installed them. Not familiar with opus. Yes
  12. Yes, no luck still.
  13. Has anyone seen any solutions since this issue was first discussed? I had a coputer for 5 yrs, where I installed FSX, XP, FSX SE, and P3D. TrackIR worked fine. I just upgraded and got a brand new system from Jetline with P3D v3.2 already installed. I added XP and installed the latest Track IR software followed by the camera. It's fine on XP but P3D just doesn't do anything with TrackIR. I ran all the simconnect steps too. I'm out of ideas. I love the extreme speed and smoothness of my new system with P3D runnning but really miss TrackIR's capabilities. Would welcome any new suggestions to get it working in P3D. Cheers! Luis
  14. I get it occasionally and a computer restart always solves it, but I'll take the other tips into account
  15. This week I found a buyer for my 2010 system, so I went all out with Jetline Systems' newest Gravity GTX. I can't wait for it to arrive. It's going to be P3D only for quite while and the new system should bring out the best of it!
  16. Windows 10 is perfect for FSX SE and P3D, but not for original FSX
  17. I loaded ASN first and then ran P3D. I did not get any error messages and saw a normal weather depiction. I'll double check again. It seems like others are not getting ASN working either.
  18. Uninstalled 3.1, removed shaders, and installed 3.2. PMDG, ASN, and scenery add-ons remain intact. I had a CTD on my first 3 attempts to start 3.2. Rebooted my system, and then no problems. I'll explore it more later today.
  19. The Queen is a sentimental favorite, but understand the economics of phasing it out. I actually thought lower fuel costs would keep it around longer.
  20. I bought Paulo Ricardo's Rio and Sao Paulo packages for FSX a few years ago on Simmarket. They're very FPS friendly, and it's always fun to recreate the SDU visual. Just waiting for the P3D update now. I currently live in Brazil and have been on B733, A320, and A319 landing at SDU. There is not much of a history of overruns, which is a testament to the great manual skills of the crews that do this every day. SDU was one of the reasons Gol and Boeing worked together for the B738's SFP package.
  21. Great products that get better and better. I love KMIAv3! I own probably 90% of their range.
  22. 64-bit is a must considering the complexity of so many of the great add-ons out there. And as someone already commented, developers would need to make significant updates to their products to catch up with a 64-bit platform. I normally use FSX SE, P3Dv3, and XP-10. I only fly the PMDG 737 & 777 packages and have great airport products from FlyTampa, FSDT, FlightBeam, and others that can push VAS to the limit. Every time I fly XP-10, I only wish I could transfer all these add-ons to that platform, given its smoother performance and 64-use. I look forward to seeing how this all evolved. Competition is good!
  23. I saw the opposite effect. I recently went from a 580 to a 980Ti. I used the VMax 757 and DD NYC scenry for testing. With the 580, the slower FPS was obvious. Now with the 980Ti, the FPS are very fast and smooth. In P3D the card change gave me about 3 to 5 additional FPS, but without a doubt, the improvement is much more obvious in XP-10.
  24. Windows 10 has been flawless for me on both FSX SE and P3D v3.x. I always use ASN and PMDG 737/777. The original FSX is the only one that I never got to work with Windows 10.
