Pc build for XPlane10

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I'm looking to build a system specifically for X-Plane 10. I won't ever be running 4k res, and this is what I've come up:

I know it won't max it, as nothing does, but this should do pretty well I am guessing? (I wanted the i7 because I'm a software developer so the hyper threading comes in useful!)

I'm about at my upper budget (as much as I'd love to get a 1080 and 4k monitor, I can't afford it).

Is this a solid sim platform? Are there any changes you'd suggest?

Looks pretty good.

I would recommend you consider GSkill Ripjaw V though, perfect for Skylake.

Do you intend to overclock? I'm guessing 4.5 GHz with the 212 Evo.

I prefer multi-rail PSU's, and I went for Ripjaw V 3200 MHz and already had a EVGA GTX 980 Ti classified. Cooling for me is Noctua NH-D15S. Asus Z170-A for motherboard.
