Orbx Global for FS2004

Featured Replies

While looking for  grund texture for FS2004 I came across Orbx Global textures for FS2004.

Are these legal because I have Orbx Global.

Now I might be an ahole in Orbx eyes but I'm not a pirate.  If these are illegal I'll go for with FS Scene.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

Hi Noel,

Reaching way back into my memory wern't there freeware fs2004 textures developed by John Venema that predated anything from ORBX? Could that be what you found?

Kind regards,

No, Stephan, it's a version of Orbx FTX Global Base Pack for FS2004/FSX/P3D.

I am unable to copy the link here.  It's a Latino website and at the bottom has a link for downloading FSX/P3D version and another link for downloading the FS2004 version.  It's dated 28 Feb 2016.

I suspect that since it's not coming from the Flightsim Store it's not legal.

Not sure, but most likely pirate.

I am unaware of any authorized fs2004 FTX texture conversion. Not seeing it myself I can only imagine that they are not authorized to sell FTX products of any persuasion.

If the FTX products are free then we know that is illegal.

Kind regards,
