I'm working on an ancient Bamboo Bomber with the rather "crude" instruments of that era. I'm having trouble understanding why the default engine RPM seems to work properly...

...until prop pitch is adjusted, at which point engine RPM increases to absurd values!

At fine pitch, engine(s) idle at ~357 RPM. At full throttle, engine RPM settles at ~967.

At coarse pitch, engines(s) RPM increases at full throttle to an absurd 2,200 RPM! :shok:

It would seem to me that if anything, RPM should decrease due to the additional "load" from the increased prop "drag."

Does anyone have a clue as to why this is happening. Better still does anyone know how to fix it?
