Dual Monitor setup - AMD R9 380 - eyefinity - FSX - Steam

Recommended Posts

I have scoured the forms and watched 10-15 you tube videos and cant find my answer.

I wan to stretch my FSX steam version over 2 -  24" 1920 x 1080 HP monitors.

Apparently eyefinity only supports 3 monitors at this point.

Is it still possible to split the screen on to 2 monitors?

I have it setup with one screen for field of view currently and the other for alternative things like GPS.

This works but I would prefer a 2 monitor stretched view

You won't find much info. on AMD cards as the recommended cards are Nvidia. But I had 3 6990's a few years ago and it was a nightmare, I also remember AMD saying that they would never support FSX. Just something to remember is you have to detect the display manually to evoke eyefinity.

Don't know if this is still relevant to OP but Eyefinity as of writing pretty much covers any number of monitors up to 6 or 7 I think. 2/3/4/5 whatever.

You can use auto setup (quick) or advanced and select 1:2 as ratio or 2:1 if they are stacked vertically. Using R9 390x getting sweet frames (locked 30) with 4k main screen 2 x 1080p side screens pretty much all settings maxed out except water.
