VFXCentral not launching

I'm having issues with launching VFXCentral on my machine. I never had this problem before. I am on Windows 10 Pro.

 

When I launch it, it opens the splash screen and immediately closes. What's wrong with this?

Yes, that fixed the issue. Why does this even happen in the 1st place?

Something might have failed during a previous upgrade process. We haven't seen this issue before but I'm glad it fixed it for you!
