BIG Problem with Scenery cfg!!!

Featured Replies

Hi!since i installed canarysim GCLP, my whole scenery cfg is ruined. i uninstalled it , but everything is broken. i tried to restore the cfg by myself, but now (FS9 does not crash anymore) its strange, while loading a flight it says something like "scenery reading error" but it loads the flight and my scenery looks like this!please help me!http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/132966.jpghttp://www.igfly.com/images/betateam.jpg

Maybe you could roll back to an earlier restore point? If I recall, Canary Sim makes a scenery.cfg entry on installation, does it not, if you let it? I should take any opportunity to deny such modification in future if you can, and always do it manually yourself. Or at the least, back up your SCENERY.CFG before using autoinstallers.Sorry not to be of more help,MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]

Probably clutching at straws here but I notice that in my Flight Simulator folder there is a file called Scenery and another one called OldSceneryPerhaps this is an automatic backup FS9 makes (?) You might want to look in your FS9 folder for this file. If its there make a *backup* and then rename it to Scenery and then see if your scenery is fixed.

Hi,Go and get FlightSim Manager at http://www.ranainside.com/.It's freeware, and one of the most valuable tools you can get. It can anlyse you scenery.cfg - and fix most (if not all) of your problems.Edit:I've just discovered another neat tool http://www.wolfgang-picheta.de/english.htm - it should help clear a lot of problems you could have in FS9 - I havn't tried it yet. But if it does as promised, it's really cool.

Cheers
