I have just replaced my GTX460 with a Palit GTX1060 and cannot get a display on my TV via a HDMI cable.

With just my monitor connected via the DVI connector all is fine.

If I connect my TV via the HDMI port Nvidia control panel does not detect a second display so I use the "rigorous display" option and restart the PC.

My monitor shows the Windows start screen and then goes black with just my cursor showing and my TV tells me there is no source connected to that particular HDMI connector.

Can anyone offer any help please?

Extra information.

I have connected my monitor via the HDMI port and the display is OK which suggests the HDMI port and cable are OK so I have no idea why my PC does not recognise my TV nor why I get a black monitor display with just the cursor showing.
