This tip may help some of you. I have messing with the new Omega ATI drivers and changed the LOD setting to -1 this minor change has significantly improved the texture clarity with no impact on frame rate.Andrew

Where did you set LOD -1?

ATI Tray Tools - right click - Direct3D - settings - additionalAndrew,

I just tested it. It has same effect on my machine as when I set MIPS from current 4 to 5. And introduces more shimmering, like probably on every other FS computer.
