P3Dv3 and AMD Anti-Aliasing

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am seeking your help, if anybody has any experience or suggestion regarding P3D AA with AMD GPU? I am practically unable to get a decent anti-aliasing in the simulator.

Tried with 4 and 8 samples, FXAA on/off. With/without Radeon settings profile (Used App settings/enhance/override 4x, 8x). Still getting some aliasing, flickering and shimmering;

Rwy, terminal and 3D objects shimmering

Gauges (especially F/O) and  txt around GPS and Radio knobs

gauges flickering

I would be very gratful for any suggestions and ideas how could I solve this?

Please anyone?

Please anyone?

I had a Radeon card a few years ago and the only thing that really worked for me was

x4 or x8 AA in P3D with Supersampling enabled in the Radeon Global settings.

You also might like to experiment with RadeonPro:

It worked! Thank you mate. :)

It's a shame that the specific profile in radeon setting is not getting applied.

Glad you got it working.

Supersampling can be a big frame rate hit in heavy cloud/rain conditions though.

See how you go.
