December 1, 200520 yr Hi,I'm experiencing continuous CTD with my FS2004 installation - I extensively searched in the forum and found a lot of useful informations, even if the application of none of them seemed to solve my problem. Probably also because some of the issues are not easy to test as they seem, with my not-so-great hardware knowledge :-)There's a think I would like to test anyway, that is try to run FS with minimum essential processes running in background.I followed some forum advices about it, but I have some doubt about how to close antivirus processes (AVG that is), that seem not accept to be stopped from task manager anyway.I would like to know if there's a way to close such processes, and better, how to have two different boot configurations, one with no unessential processes (just for FS) and one with all the bells and whistles.ThanksFrancesco
December 2, 200520 yr Not sure it will stop your CTD's, but try Ken Salter's FSAutostart to stop unwanted programs and processes while you run Flight Simulator and then start them again when you have finished.Search for fsasv1111.zip in the Avsim library
December 2, 200520 yr I find enditall2 works very well too. Do a Google search, you'll find it.Andyhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpgSemper en excretum, solo profundum variat!
