samsung evo 850 msata vs the m.2?

Physically these look very different but I could not find out the difference between the two.

Which one will work with the intel MOBO's?

Which motherboard do you have???

 

 

Don't go for mSATA... it's primarily for small form factor, mobiles etc I recall.

 

You want... 850 Evo SATA!

It runs of the SATA hard drive interface, just like the old mechanical hard drives. But of course is much faster.

 

M.2 is a different interface. An M.2 drive comes in the form of a mini PCB and attaches directly to a slot on the motherboard. It's faster than a conventional SSD but requires a newer, compatible motherboard...
