December 3, 200520 yr Is anyone interested in maybe setting up some practice flights for the upcomming RTW race this Febuary?
December 3, 200520 yr Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!DEFINITELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Anytime, any IP, let me know and I will make every effort.Reccomend the Freeware or payware Avanti- my bird this year is Mario's.Best Regards, Donny:-wave
December 4, 200520 yr Is anyone else interested in setting something up?Maybe we could have an airrace of our own. USA Coast to Coast or something to that effect.
December 4, 200520 yr Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!I think KEWR to KATL. Penalties apply, to make it interesting on the paralel runways I will be on the left always. Guess we would be on the honor system w/o judges. Need screenshot- or FSNet black box?"making every effort" involves an install for me, puter took a dive...Best Regards, Donny:-wave
December 4, 200520 yr Same here. The main reason I suggested this was because to be compleatly honest I haven't flown in about half a year (over 2 years in reality) and I was just the other day like. Ohh crap the race is like in 2 months or so. I'm in the process of getting 2004 put back in the hard drive and then I have to go find my Dash 8's and other craft.
December 4, 200520 yr Round the world race? There can only be one result, with the SR-71 taking first place!Dave T. .........On the Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/ Dave Taylor
December 4, 200520 yr Actualy if there were no limits I'd just fire orbiter up with a DeltaGlider, launch from Cape Canaveral and land back there in about 45 minutes one orbit later. But unfortunatly they usualy won't let us use anything much bigger than a turboprop.
December 5, 200520 yr "2) Aircraft Requirements.Aircraft eligible for flight in the race are production aircraft of which at least 10 flying examples have been produced and placed in service, with realistic .air files, and which fit at least one of the following criteria:A) Piston-powered fixed-wing aircraft.:( Turboprop-powered, fixed-wing aircraft of two engines or fewer.C) Rotorcraft."http://mw0.ath.cx/~matt/RTW/home.htmAbsolutely the most fun you will ever have in Flight Sim.BTW - Sim Outhouse has been doing practice runs for about six weeks.FlightSim.com will rule again this year :-)(But no guarantee that the rules might change this year)
December 5, 200520 yr Good idea. I've not flown the Avanti or Cheyenne in ages, concentrating on Concorde at the moment with some C-47 flights for variety.
December 5, 200520 yr Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!Nice to "hear" from ya Reggie. I am getting a new rig this week and hunkering down for some serious prep WORK.Best Regards, Donny:-wave
December 5, 200520 yr I made a nice smooth landing at VNLK last Friday in the F-1 C441 - going to work on my Cheyenne technique later this week.I know we won't go back there - but if you can make that landing - you can land danged near anywhere.Though I personally find the approach to VQPR a bit more difficult.
December 5, 200520 yr Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!In a real time crunch, "night, no lights" can come in handy. Just look for the signature "tread" in the middle in the right spot. Line up runway heading with bearing to airport GPS. Merry Christmas:-beerchug
December 26, 200619 yr I would like to get started practicing, I think that we should open back up the Avsim Race form and get started! -Lucas
