Using Thrustmaster MFD Cougar for Controling EZdoc Views

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

I own EZdok but just don't seem to have enough spare keys to set up all the 3D views (3D VC inside/outside) that I would like.  I essentially need an input device with more buttons, and it appears that the Thrustmaster MFD Cougar provides exactly that.  It gives a row of 5 buttons left arranged vertically, 5 buttons right side vertically, and 5 top horizontally and 5 bottom horizontally with a simple USB connection that appears to look like another joystick to the application.  If it works, this would be just what I need to assign my various views in nice logical groups of 4 with 5 views for each subgroup.

Is anyone using the Thrustmaster MFD with EZdok in this way?  From the reviews I've been reading and the youtube videos I've watched, it appears that there may be some heartache in getting it setup and may even require a 3rd party tool.   I do have the paid version of FSUPIC if that helps.

(I've noticed that as the complexity of my simulator grows, so does the amount of time spent fiddling with it vs. flying!  After a new PC build in 2017 I'm locking down my software for 12 months and getting back to just flying with what I have!)

Thanks,

I use a Logitech G13 gamepad for view control...24 programmable buttons and a thumbstick.
