Cloud layers

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I would like to know if there is an option (still on OpusFSI) to have a maximum of one or two cloud layers?

I am using Directx 10 on FSX and cloud performance is below par..

Thanks in advance

Wilco

The number and type of cloud layering is determined by the region's weather reports and forecasted model data. You can however, turn off the 'Enable Cloud Associations' option in our Weather Preferences dialog which may help reduce the complexity and number of cloud layers. You can also adjust (reduce) the cloud density and draw distance within the sim settings. Other performance increases can be made by reducing the water effects, cloud shadows, and number of AI objects.

Nearly forgot, you can also disable Cirrus Clouds in our Weather Preferences.

Thanks for answering, i am still on the older OpusFsx version, and am afraid i can`t find the 'Enable Cloud Associations' option..Is this only available on the more recent OpusFsi version?
