Help Installing PMDG777 P3D

Recommended Posts

OK you know I was a long user of PMDG for FSX.  FSX crashed and just couldn't re-install, so I installed P3D.  I bought the PMDG777 for P3D and am having difficulty on the initial install.

I got my product key and downloaded it.  Where do I find it now?  The Operations Center wants me to buy it (but I already did).  I know this is very basic, but I am at this 6 hours and driving everyone NUTS.  Please help - this was not the way I wanted to spend my day off.

Can someone bring me back to Basic 101.  How do I insall the 777 in P3D (I am brand new to P3D)

I see there are some note regarding if you were never asked for the key navigate to the p3D root folder and run simconnect.msi  Is  that the fix?  If so, I can't find that folder anywhere.  A little guidance here please.

Update:  OK the 777 is in P3D but nothing in clickable.  I was never asked for my license#.

The cockpit is dead, nothing is clickable, I did the 6 steps running simconnect as found in the installation guidelines.  The new PMDG never asked my for the product key.

Install the simconnect files that you will find in the 777 installation folder I believe.

Then when you run P3D and load up the 777 you should get a popup asking for your activation key.

OK it finally took.  I just kept installing the files over and over again until it took.  Then the screen came up for the product code.  So now it works - roblem solved
