XRef functionality

Featured Replies

Hi Alex,

I have been using PlanG for years before I found Little Navmap. Now it's my primary flight planner. Thanks for that, simply brilliant, easy and feature-rich!!!

One question though - one of the useful features in PlanG was XRef functionality enabling me calculation of distances and bearings from/to a waypoint in flight plan to selected navaids or waypoints along the route (not included in the flight plan). Eg., if the flight route goes between two navaids which are not part of the flight plan, using XRef I'm still able to calculate distance and bearings to/from these navaids for better spatial navigation.

Is it possible to implement XRef feature in Little Navmap also?

Thank you!

Regards,

Hi Victor,

you can use the measurement lines for that. Right click on a VOR, NDB or a waypoint and select "Measure Rhumb Distance from ...".

Move the end of the line to your airport to find bearing/radial and distance.

These lines are permanent and stay on the map after restarting the program.

See here in the manual about this.

Travelling along airways. Here you can use the line to find the distance to SFD when you have to turn left 280° until you intercept GWC on 302°.

PS: Do you accept donations? I can see the books on your website but unfortunately I don't speak German but I like scifi... :)
