FSX-SE ctd after +1 hour

Recommended Posts

Regularly, while flying on VATSIM, I experience a CTD with the following report from AppCrashView:

I use FSX-SE, AS-16 for wx, and FS Commander for moving map functionality. Recently I disabled MyTraffic 6 and turned off all AI traffic, which seemed to reduce the frequency the CTD.

The error occurs most commonly after about an hour of flight time, sometimes at cruise, other times on descent or final approach. Weather conditions vary..and I have reduced the resolution of cloud textures in AS16. flying the PMDG 737-NGX and 777. I use dual 25-inch monitors and vPilot to connect to VATSIM.

The AVSIM CTD Guide, page 36 says:

Terrain.dll - Usually indicates high scenery/terrain settings, especially Autogen. Restart sim to see if the error reoccurs. Most of the time, the error occurs on a whim.

Jim
