FS Force Profile

Featured Replies

Hi All,

As anyone had any luck with an FS Force profile for this beautiful bird? I had been using the twin turboprop default profile but I was thinking that's probably more for a king air size. I found one person posted a profile for a Dash 8 (may have even been on AVSIM) but it's SUPER twitchy on the roll commands.

Thanks!

Lindsey

I use a FFB yoke, and the twin turboprop is the profile that I started with. I have only modified it to suit the Q400. At least, what I believe the Q400 controls would actually "feel" like. I have also been playing around with the trim timing of the yoke, in an attempt to match the Majestic Q400's trim time.

From what I have read, the Q4's controls are relatively light with the hydraulics running. Without hydraulics, the force required to move the yoke would be approx. 40Lbs. (ie, in flight with a hydraulics failure)

But, again, it's a guess without real world experience. Maybe our resident real world Q400 pilot will see this and be able to give a more accurate description of the forces required.

   regards, Craig
