Logitech has a higher standard of quality compared to madcatz where QC was non-existent. It remains to be seen if they will tweak the designs of the old Saitek gear. My experience with Logitech has been a positive one. I'm still using my M510 mouse and Extreme 3D joystick, both purchased 12 years ago. I can not say that about anything with a madcatz label on it.

Has anyone bought it and tested it out in P3Dv3.35 yet? My internet is slow tonight, it's showing 3 hours to completion.

Recent CTD in 3.3.5 had me thinking
Jazzfan replied to Vincent's topic in Crash To Desktop (CTD) Forum
There should be an entry in the Scenery Library for the Orbx Libraries. They are not really necessary if you are flying a tube-liner. The libraries are a 3.5Gb file and only contain extra scenery items, like people, trees, static aircraft, etc. found at the Orbx airports. (ie, like those found in their PNW, NCA, and most of the other Orbx add-on scenery's,) Your PNW, NCA, etc., will still work, you just will not see the squirrels running around, and mechanics working on the static aircraft. The object flow can be disabled in the dll.xml file usually found here for Orbx add-ons. (C:\users\yourname\Appdata\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\P3Dv3\dll.xml) If you are not having issues with stutters, then the object flow dll can probably be left alone. As for the Orbx libraries, it is worth a test flight to see if it makes a difference. -

Vincent, are you using the Orbx libraries? And/or Orbx Object flow? Have you tried your tests with them disabled? I have found an improvement in performance when I have those disabled. I would be interested in hearing your results. Cheers and good luck, Craig -
A very fine piece of work, Rob. Very detailed. Thank You. In a show of appreciation, I nominate you for the "Poppet Award For Excellence in Tutorials" Cheers, Craig

You are correct, ckyliu. You can leave them assigned in the sim. It is easier to test the 125hz setup, with them disabled in the sim. Ie, if he has the wrong variable assigned to one of his axis', it would show up much sooner, with the controls disabled in the sim. He hasn't given any pertinent information on his setup. Aside from his throttles controlling his rudder pedals, everything else, is a guess.
-
Check your simulator control setup dialog for duplicate controls. It looks like you have a throttle lever linked to your rudder pedals. If you are using the 125hz interface, you must delete all aileron/elevator/rudder pedal assignments inside the simulator or fsuipc.

A true 4k projector will run you over $40k each. There are cheaper models out there advertised as being 4k, but actually use pixel shifting to give the impression of being 4k. I don't think the 1080p will be a problem. It comes down to viewing distance from the screen, and the reflective quality of that screen.

TIME magazine lists FSX in "Top 50 Best Video Games of All Time"

23 isn't bad for such a " small, niche" market. -
The FS Force gauge is a small rectangular window that will only display while the trim switch is being pressed. On a side note, you should check with the developer for information on using FS Force with PMDG aircraft. ie, autopilot following will only work with aircraft that use the default autopilot. Some users have reported having issues engaging the autopilot on PMDG aircraft.

Comments from a former Flight Sim journalist...
Jazzfan replied to HiFlyer's topic in IPACS AeroFly FS2
Maybe it's just my cynicism interfering, but the above article reads like a "aerofly dreamer's" wishlist. Not that everything on the list wouldn't be appreciated. I just think that there are much more important "features" missing. just my .02c -
I agree with vortex681, FS Force is definitely the better option for ffb inside either FSX or P3D. I have been using it since April. I am enjoying feeling not just weight of the control surfaces, but also feeling that weight increase/decrease in coordination with the airspeed changing. It is an excellent add on for those with real ffb controllers. (versus something like a game pad)

I saw that too. I am quite eager for something decent for Calgary. I am also curious as to what Orbx will do with Calgary. They have a freeware version for NRM, which is supposed to get an upgrade.
