January 23, 20179 yr Does the bar only come alive under takeoff conditions? (One reference I got was "Only be used on ground") My manuals say... "Not rollout mode engaged, LOC data valid, course error less than 45 degrees and airplane on ground" .... but you can't always believe your books... They also say "Ground speed more than 40 knots" which is not true (In a video, I've seen it operating at 7 kts) Cheers John H Watson
