January 23, 20179 yr Good Morning Guys, I know quite a few of you like to keep updated about 737-800 news! All new aircraft that leave the factory in Renton are now fitted with a Multi-Mode Navigation Control Panel for tuning Navigation Aids. All the new -800's have subtle changes which will provide commonality to the new MAX. All new -800's have the fuel totalizer, the analog fuel quality format is not on the new aircraft Fuel Flow is shown continuously on the Primary Engine Display MAPt are shown in Cyan on the ND until they become active (magenta) All FMS's will have magenta for commanded data, white for crew changing input and green for active status of FMC Hope you found it interesting!

Interesting stuff. Thanks. A lot of these sound like options. There are a myriad of options on the Boeing lines. Are you saying you can't get any other nav tuner than that one? Matt Cee
January 23, 20179 yr Interesting stuff. Thanks. A lot of these sound like options. There are a myriad of options on the Boeing lines. Are you saying you can't get any other nav tuner than that one? I've been lead to believe that this is the case for all the new -800's! It's certainly what the memo was implying. Our 737's definitely don't have too many boxes ticked off the optional extra list anyway! We do have CAT III throughout the entire fleet though. Basically it stated all new 737's produced form Boeing will have this as part of the basic spec aircraft in preparation of releasing the MAX next year. Would be interesting to know if it is actually just ours or if all -800's are coming out with this basic spec. I have no idea when they'll phase out the NG anyway.
