Checklists

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

So I have quite a few hours built up now on the NGX so I decided to buy both the 777-200 and the 777-300 expansion.

I don't have a particularly advanced knowledge of the systems in an airliner so I rather enjoyed following the detailed checklist that came with the 737 as can be found here:

http://www.hweistra.nl/Checklist-737-PMDG-737NGX.pdf

However I couldn't seem to find a similar thing with the 777 and due to my restricted knowledge I cannot make head nor tail of the various documentation that comes with the aircraft.

After contacting support they said that a checklist should be located within those documents but I cannot find one

I have tried using various ones recovered from the internet but they all seem too miss out some features such as connecting the GPU's and starting the APU during taxi. They also fail to include things such as checking oxygen which while is not essential to the flying of the aircraft I think is a cool feature for immersion and I'm pretty sure that'd be on the real thing

So my question to the community is this:

Is there an official checklist for the 777 in the same style as the one above?

If not, what is the best one you have found?

Thanks guys

Tom

Edit: I just saw the thing about sign or die, I have no idea how to do that, sorry.

The one you linked to is neither official, nor is it technically correct (it includes a number of things that are not required, or desired). It has a PMDG logo on it, but we did not create it.

If not, what is the best one you have found?

The one that comes out of the FCOM (one of the many documents included with the aircraft).

A good approximation can be found in flying the tutorial.

Literally just type your full name into your posts.

You can also configure an auto-signature if you go into your user settings at the top right of the page.

Which volume and page??

Not at my sim comp right now, so I don't have access. My bet would be Vol 2, but either way, hit CTRL + F and search for something like "Normal Procedures," or "expanded procedures."

Using CTRL + F is one of the best ways to get what you need out of those docs, regardless of the issue.

So it seems that by following this checklist a lot of switches are left on or auto

Should this be the case??

Yes. If it doesn't need to move, don't move it. Why add extra effort to turn something off only to turn it back on?

Also: full names in the forum. Please be sure to type your name at the bottom of each post, or add an auto-signature in your user settings.
