December 19, 200520 yr Would like to add altitude callouts to one of my favorite older heavies. Have installed the FPDA Boeing files and they work. However the set of callout sound files I would really like to use are in my main sound file. They are: M7_2500, M7_1000, M7_500 all the way down to 10ft. Am not sure what these came out of. I am trying to find a way to get these callouts to play instead of the standard "Boeing" files that start at 400ft. Any help is very welcome! Thanks,Joe Regards, Joe Esposito
December 19, 200520 yr Hey Joe, Sounds like an old Jimmy Hendrix song...I use the following setup and it works really well starting at 2500ft all the way down to to 10ft , total of 12 files(wav).gauge25=TU_fpda_a330_callout, 0,0,0The quick n dirty way would be to install the Tu_FPDA in you panel.cfg file then if you want to use your wav files instead of the FPDA ones then simply rename your files to match the FPDA's.As an example: your file for 2500ft lets say is called M7_2500 rename this to FPDA_A330_2500FT.wav and so onHope this helps ya Douglas B-707 Ret.
December 19, 200520 yr Author Douglas, your renaming idea did the job! Many thanks for the help!Joe Regards, Joe Esposito

December 20, 200520 yr I have a sound system with the FPDA or something like that from a panel that I installed a while ago. I was wondering if there is a way to add the Airbus countdown only on Airbuses, and Boeing into Boeing? I would like to have both gpws sounds.
December 21, 200520 yr Kurt,The settings you want for Boeing and Airbus callouts could be done as follows:**NOTE** You would have to edit each panel.cfg file to include the callout gauge for the respective aircraft. Below is an excerpt from my panel.cfg file. I use the airbus files for all panels as they are clearer but that is your choice.Place the callout gauge you want at the next number in the main section of your panel.cfg file. So, if your main pane.cfg ends at 24 the next number will be 25 .All sound files have to go into your main sound folder and thats about it.*********************** AIRBUS CALLOUT GAUGE ****************************gauge20=TU_Fab737_outrim, 512,358, 25, 18 gauge21=737-400!Gear Lever, 964,457,51,152gauge22=737-400!Nose Gear Light, 977, 402, 28, 22gauge23=737-400!Left Gear Light, 964, 424 ,28 ,22gauge24=737-400!Right Gear Light, 992, 424 ,28 ,22gauge25=TU_fpda_a330_callout, 0,0,0 <<<<<<<<<<<<<< AIRBUS CALLOUT>>>>************************ BOEING CALLOUT GAUGE **************************************gauge20=TU_Fab737_outrim, 512,358, 25, 18 gauge21=737-400!Gear Lever, 964,457,51,152gauge22=737-400!Nose Gear Light, 977, 402, 28, 22gauge23=737-400!Left Gear Light, 964, 424 ,28 ,22gauge24=737-400!Right Gear Light, 992, 424 ,28 ,22gauge25=FPDA_Boeing_Callout, 0,0,0 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< BOEING CALLOUT GAUGE >>>>>>>>> Douglas B-707 Ret.
December 21, 200520 yr Author Douglas,One other question about adding sounds. I have a parking brake release sound I would like to add to several of my add-ons. I know there more to it than just putting the wav. file in the sound folder. Thanks in advance for your help.Joe Regards, Joe Esposito
