February 2, 20179 yr I'm on my first flight with the 747 and I got the GPS LEFT message. The QRH doesn't have any actions listed. Is there something I should do or just ignore since the other GPS is functioning? Chad Ryan
February 2, 20179 yr "Ignore" is a bit strong -- not quite that, but there are (as you have found) no actions associated with that particular message, so all you need to do is just be aware that it's failed (you can and should cancel the message to ensure that the EICAS remains clear for any future messages that might appear). If you are really unlucky and GPS R also fails, you will be down to inertial navigation (with radio updating) only, but that served many aircraft very well indeed for many years, so still no need to panic.
