December 21, 200520 yr Thanks for the replies as the where to get the sids/stars. I've been studying the GMN4 departure (For LAX)and have a couple questions. Lets assume Im taking off via Rnwy 24L. It says to climb via heading 250 (no prob) to cross the SMO R-254 Radial at or below 3000 (no prob). My question is..what should I expect next? Im gathering at this point the ATC will give me a new vector to intercept the LAX R-323 radial to continue with the departure? Also on the same SID, along the LAX R-323 radial, I see what looks like a backwards looking "Z" that crosses the radial and has "36" above the Z, and a "20" below the Z. What do the numbers mean?
December 21, 200520 yr 1. Yes, expect vectors by ATC to the LAX323 radial.2. Navigate on LAX323 radial until 36dme, then use GMN142 radial.
December 21, 200520 yr Author Just to keep confussion down, set course for GMN 322 or else you'll get reverse sensing and if you're on auto-pilot, it'll turn to fly the 142 which would be 180 degrees back.----------------------------------------------------------------John MorganReal World: KGEG, UND Aerospace Spokane Satillite, Private ASEL 141.2 hrs, 314 landings, 46 inst. apprs.Virtual: MSFS 2004"There is a feeling about an airport that no other piece of ground can have.
