AI question

It seems to me that whenever planes land, they take forever to get off the runway. I know from past real fligths that a plane like a Boeing rolls off the runway at around 15-20 mph. However, the AI Boening's usually roll off the runway at like 5 mph. Is there a utility/ tool that can make AI traffic move faster off the runways after landing??Any help appreciated...

Hi,On projectai's website they have a little program that will up the taxi speed of your ai aircraft.http://www.projectai.com/libraries/ufiles.php?cat=8It is the sixth file from the bottom named "taxispeed.zip"Hope this helps,David

Ok, but there is a problem. When I click on it, there is an error message that says 'Run time error 76. Path not found'

The taxispeed program mentioned above only seems to work for FS2002. There is a program called FS9 Configurator that you can use to change your AI's taxi speed. It can be downloaded here at AVSIM using the search function. It offers several other tools to tweak your FS9 as well!

Yep, I just found it on AVSIM, and it WORKS!! Thanks

Yes as said above there's a program that will speed up the taxi speed.I don't think however, there is anything that makes AI planes make use of high speed exits that you see at most large airports. They slow to taxi speed, then turn. Frustrating, I know.

When you see that there is still an A/C on the runway and it hasn't been given the "contact ground on" message youcan take you hands off the controls and hit "Y" to enterthe "suspended animation" state of "SLEW" mode. The AI traffic will continue to taxi/land/etc. Just be sure thereisn't yet another problem coming right behind you.Another solution, which I often fall back to at very crowdedairports and have been waiting to takeoff forever, is to open Traffic Toolbox in "map" mode. Zoom in until you canidentify the problem A/C(s), select them with the cursor and hit "Dlete"! Not very elegant but it will clear as muchof your airspace as you care to. Paul

Hi again,Sorry about the bad info I though I used that program for fs2004 but I guess I used it for fs2002. Anyway if you want the go around situation fixed I would suggestion using AI Smooth. It pretty much separates traffic realistically for approaches. Plus it will utilize different runways for takeoff and landing. Really cool program, plus its free!
