HID assignments

Recommended Posts

Hi ,

I have added a new HID (Leo Bodnar) IDD211500  to my exsiting HID which is also a Leo Bodnar card.(IDD211501)

I had set up the first card with all my control assignments.

Is it possible to make my new card IDD211500 because LINDA now shows all of my control assignments on

my new card instead of the card I had already setup.

I assume that this is a HID ID order issue?

This has come about because I am building my cockpit in stages.

I hope that all makes sense!

cheers

Stinger.

Hi Stinger

I must first ask you what version of LINDA you are using?

Each Leo Bodnar card should be identified by a VID/PID number and a unique Serial number. The latest versions of LINDA uses these 2 numbers to uniquely identify each card. This should allow you to assign your cockpit controls to each card.

The identification of each HID device is shown on the Setup Joysticks page.

Hi, I am using version 2.8.5

My Joysticks setup page shows the two cards

serial number B62263......ID:IDD211500

serial number B57104......ID:IDD211501

My original card is serial B57104 but all the assignments I made for this

have moved onto B62263 now that I added a second card instead of keeping

them assigned to the original card?

cheers

Stinger

I see that your first card (B57104) has moved to the ID 1DD211501 when it would have been 1DD211500 to start with. Now you have 2 cards are the assignments you make to each remaining with that card? I am unsure why this should have happened.

You can manually edit the config-hid.lua for your aircraft (/module/linda-cfg/aircrafts/{your aircraft}) and cut-and-paste the original setting to the new 1DD211501/B57104 block.

Ok, sorted it now using your advice.

Thanks.

On another note, when I open the LINDA editor I get a error message in red down on the right hand side which says

"lua.exe is not found"

C.............\Modules\linda\lua\lua.exe

should this be happening?

That is down to me. Please use latest version 2.8.9 to install missing lua.exe file.

I pleased we got the main problem sorted.
