Tow plane & gliders

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

P3D 3.4 here, CTRL+SHIFT+Y does not call the tow plane anymore. In the keyboard controls page tow plane has its right setting with CTRL+SHIFT+Y.

I think there should be somewhere in my p3d folders a .dll or an .exe or a gauge or something else about towing that could be corrupted.

Does anyone know where to look at?

Or, alternatively, what should I reinstall, client, content or scenery?

Many thanks.

The towplane is an AI-Plane which follows no AI-flightplan but the given data in the file

<sim1.dll> (main path of FSX). There is the Towplane,

Perhaps try mapping the tow-plane to a different key combination or map it to a joystick button to see if there is some conflict in the control assignments. I'm not sure how, but P3D would need to know what tow plane to use as well. If you are serious about gliding, you could try the very best and most famous addon of all - CumulusX which takes control of the towplane AI so that it flies a pattern then tows the glider to a thermal and after release, flies back to the airport. In CumulusX you specify what towplane you want the AI to use.
