December 30, 200520 yr Hi there -- anyone got any clues why this seems to be happening to the ground textures nearest to my plane ??
December 30, 200520 yr Just guessing, but what was the time of day? Maybe on the edge of where dusk/dawn texture blending occurs? I know that today, some areas I fly have a blending of winter and hard winter texture area.scott s..
December 30, 200520 yr Thanks for the reply -- this happens day and night and dusk and dawn -- I don't fancy a full reinstall....
December 30, 200520 yr Is this happening with all aircraft, or just one or two? I recall a post regarding this not too far back and I recall this gets worse with some aircraft. The only other guess is your Texture Bandwidth multiplier may be too high or too low. A quick way to reset everything without a full reinstall is to simply rename your fs9.cfg to fs9.old. Start MSFS, and a new one will be rebuilt. That may help reset any odd setting that strayed into your .cfg file.-John
December 30, 200520 yr It's with all acft -- I'll give what you recommend a try and see how I go.Thanks
December 30, 200520 yr Dawn dusk texture blending is checked and on, I presume? Looks like a contrast between `lit` and `unlit` texturing. This occurs not just as dawn and dusk.Allcott
December 31, 200520 yr Have you installed the "New grass/texture relief" recently uploaded to the library? If so,try uninstalling it. Good luck,Eric
December 31, 200520 yr Thanks for that one -- I did indeed download the grass/relief texture (detail1.bmp from scenery/world/texture) so I replaced it from the MSFS CD 4 and it has fixed the problems....That's a great help and has saved a reinstall !!
