hello everyone. i would really like to know how you can get things like jetways and trucks coming to your plane on the ground. i know you can because ive seen photos with it done.i use fs9/fs 2004thanksjoec747

Welcome to the forums JoeGo to Las Vegas (KLAS). It's one of a handful of airports in MSFS's default scenery that has these types of scenery objects. In order to see them, you must have your scenery complexity slider (Options, Settings, Display) maxed as shown below. You'll find this type of detail at these airports for starters:San FranciscoLos AngelesSeattleLas VegasDallas Fort WorthAtlantaO'HareMiamiNew York KennedyLondon HeathrowAmsterdamTokyo NaritaAnd there's more--it's all I can recall in a split second :)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/137569.jpg

thanks for welcoming me to the forums, and also thank you for telling me how to get the scenery. however i have already tried that and the scenery is there but i want the scenery, such as the trucks and jetways to come to my aircraft (if that is at all possible). can you or anyone else help me because i would really like for these things on the ground to move.thanks everyonejoec747 :-)

It sounds like you'll need custom add-on scenery for what you want, if there's any that actually does what you're looking for. The first place to start is by using the "search" feature for the file library here.-JohnEdit: I did a quick search and the only file I could find was for a commercial (payware) add-on from Wilco. There may be others, but what you're looking for isn't part of the default sim so you'll have to wait to see if anyone adds a link here to such a add-on.

John, I don't want to give any bum scoop so I'll ask you. Is it possible that he may be referring to Jon Murchissins's AIS type aircraft such as the one in 1462qt.zip? When you stop the engines equipment shows up. I have also seen animation in scenery such as the Bremen scenery by Oliver Pabst. If I remember right (I don't currently have it installed) only everything moves in that scenery to include equipment. That would be EDDW2k43.zip.You would know far better than I if either of these would be appropriate answer.Best regardsJan1,KINDWhen I push the button and it works, I'm happy:-)

I looked up the Bremem zip file, and I'd bet that's exactly what's being sought. I'm tempted to try it myself :) Thanks for contributing!-John

You have to try it at least once:-) I was too new in the hobby when I first loaded it. I was completely over whelmed. Scared me to death thinking that this was a freeware item. Thought I'd stole something so I uninstalled F9 as petence. Too much fun! Has everythinh to include the little guy marshalling in your plane. Stop engines and the jetway moves in without having to set Nav 1. Start the engines and it moves away. Only problem I have is that it is a long way to Germany:-)Anyway I would recommend it to anyone.Best regardsJan1,KINDWhen I push the button and it works, I'm happy:-)

"Stop engines and the jetway moves in without having to set Nav 1."I am curious by your mention of this--does the default scenery do this anywhere based on the Nav 1 setting, or are you referring to another add-on?-John

Okay---I lied:-( I reread the manual and It does call for assigning Nav1 for certain actions. Guess I was so excited about the little guy marshalling my plane in:-) I needed all the help I could get!But that doesn't take away from all the other stuff happeningAn by the way---I want to personally thank you for always being willing to help us who don't know it all and ARE afraid to ask for help.Best regardsJan1,KINDWhen I push the button and it works, I'm happy:-)
