xp11 environment lighting bug

If you are a sky designer then you surely have noticed a bug which causes a sudden change in the apparent brightness and saturation of your sky texture (and clouds I think).  It is most noticeable at sunset.

I'd like to know if this is a well known (and thus already reported ) problem.

I've spent some time trying to track this down and it appears to happen at every xxx.650 decimal degrees longitude when travelling west.  It wont happen when sitting still. It wont happen travelling north or south.  I don't know if it happens travelling east or at sunrise.  I like to travel west and watch the sunset but the sudden change in lighting is annoying.

An easy way to see this issue is to go to KMTN runway 33 at sunset time (sun at or just below horizon ) and takeoff and fly west.  I fly between 3 and 7 thousand feet but altitude doesn't seem to matter and neither does the date... Ive checked March 22, March 29, and July 15. If you setup a sunset flight from KMTN to KPSB then you should see the lighting change twice but if the sun is up a bit then its more difficult to notice.

 

Do you know what Im talking and, more importantly, has it been reported?

 

P.S.: I fly the default Cessna Skyhawk with really good visibility (usually 100mile) and often with just the mount texture active and only scattered clouds but only good visibility matters here (unless you use developer mode to only see the 'mount' texture)

I'm not sure I was clear with "every xxx.650 decimal degrees longitude".  I mean literally 76.650 degrees and again at 77.650.  It happened at several places across the U.S. but it was always at a " degrees plus .650 decimal" longitude.

You should report this to Laminar with ALL the details you outlined above.  Even if it has already been reported, another report can only help.

Thank you, Gregory. I just did.  It took me a while to notice the pattern so I hope what I submitted helps.

 

I sent in four screenshots to illustrate the pattern better but there was no additional place for my log.txt file so I didn't include it.  I hope that's OK.  If not, maybe they'll contact me.
