I met Robert Milton today!

Hey guys!Met Robert Milton today, the Chairman and CEO of Air Canada Enterprises (ACE) and former CEO of Air Canada. I must say, he was the nicest guy to talk to and great personality as well, regardless of the bad images that news medias have been portraying him. It was an awesome day to meet a really high executive at Air Canada. Well we all know Robert Milton "went for it". He took a very profitable airline, purchased his only rival so he had 85% market share in Canada and then proceeded to drive the company into the Canadian version of Chaper 11.

Aye, not going to go there.Regardless if you like him or hate him, he's still a very interesting person to meet. Just like political figures, but relating more to air travel.

It seems quite a honor... I too knew and had a working relationship with a founder and CEO of an airline for several years... That man was Tom Davis of the original Piedmont Airlines which he started in Winston Salem,NC after the WWII so he would not have to fire people he had working for him in the war effort... He took the DC3's he had turned them in to airliners and put the people he had working for him to work in the airline bussiness rather than losing thier jobs.... That was the kind of man Tom Davis was... He passed on a couple of years ago leaving a legacy of a true aviation pioneer... And a nicer or humble man you will never meet...Ron Mashburn
