you can always tone down brightness but...

a note to everyone -

 

You can always find ways to mitigate brightness.  you can simply decrease the brightness of the lighting in the sky textures or you can add more color.  You can also make darker clouds that work with brighter lighting.

 

THERE IS NOTHING that can be done if the base sim is too dark.  That's why P3D users are always reaching for PTA or some other lighting modifier.

 

Please don't be so quick to beg for darkness.  It limits future possibilities. 

 

and to DTG - please consider undoing your recent changes re brightness and consider the myriad of other options available...options other than eliminating available brightness.  Consider changing the sky texture lighting or changing the default clouds.
