Restoring the 2D Cockpit View

Featured Replies

The planes in FSW don't have 2D panels, so why would anyone want a 2D view? I use it for scenery screenshots by putting the plane in slew mode, switching to 2D view and hiding the panel if one is present (Shift-W usually goes directly to the hidden panel view), then positioning the aircraft for the shot.

I added the camera config below into the FSW Cameras.cfg file. Easy way to access the folder containing this file is to click on the Start menu, then type %APPDATA%\Dovetail Games\FSW  and press Enter. Edit the Camera.cfg with Notepad or better yet Notepad++.

The camera config disables access via view cycling (ie pressing the 'A' key), so you need to access the camera using the right-click menu. I also enabled lens flare which is normally disabled in the FSX camera.
