AVSIM Chat

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone:I was just wondering how many people use the AVSIM Chat...thanks. Brent

I must confess I only use it when Tom posts a "I am on the chat" post.I do keep meaning to drop by and check it out every now and then, but always forget.Dan.

On average we get about one visitor every hour or so (not counting the few regulars who are online more or less constantly). Most visitors don't stay long, asking a question and disappearing again (often while someone's typing an answer...).I'd like to see more people as well.

I guess for the amount of feedback recieved on this post so far,I got my answer. It sure seems like a good idea. TrapperIditarod coming March 5/2005http://home.ripway.com/2005-2/254270/images/avban1.jpg

I try it periodically but I have never gotten it to work... or at least I dont think so. I wind up on a 'boxed' screen indicating that it is connected, ect ect. but nothin else.if AVSIM actually posted more explicit instructions on its us with screen shots, at least I would be able to tell if it is working (but no one else connected) or not working.so, I gave up awhile ago.

Yeah, thinking about it now the main reason I dont use it is because I dont have an IRC program, so I have to use the web client, which isnt great, and can be a pain use.Dan.
