January 31, 200620 yr I decided to reinstall everyhting. I unistalled all my addons and then reinstalled them. When I finished installing the flight1 atr it said I had to restart or restart later. I deccided to reinstall later. I then installed fs2crew for the ATR and the latest airac for the atr. The question is, will fs2crew and the airac install properly because I did not do the reinstall, or does it even matter. Why do ypu have to reinstal???ThanksAlexhttp://fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
January 31, 200620 yr Curious, why on earth would you uninstall and then reinstall your addons???Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International Best, Michael KDFW
January 31, 200620 yr Commercial Member A good clear out and selective re-install does wonders for your FS performance; one good reason. As to your question Alex, as you've already done it, surely it's quicker to start FS and give it a try than wait for an answer here :-)Anyway, I'd assume you should have restarted the PC when it suggested instead of add more software for that program, especially when it says it needs to restart to complete the install!Either way, to un-install (again) and then do it properly takes, what, 5 minutes to complete? ..............just go and do it ;-)Dreamfleet Project ManagerGreatest Airliners - DC-8Greatest Airliners - 727 Whisperjethttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...BANNER_PAUL.jpg Cheers Paul Golding
January 31, 200620 yr MY Fs was running slow, so I decided to unistall everything. I also stopped using some addons. And when I uninstall I am afraid some of the fs files will be erased. So I jsut reintalled everything It just makes me feel like It wil run faster.Alexhttp://fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
February 1, 200620 yr >A good clear out and selective re-install does wonders for>your FS performance; one good reason.True Paul, I have done it several times when replacing HDs or setting up a new rig, but never for that reason and never done lightly, especially when your existing FS folder is at over 20 gigs, to much of a hassle setting it back up, LOL.Alex a good defrag does wonders for FS also.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International Best, Michael KDFW
February 1, 200620 yr Reinstalling everything is easy. I dont use many of all the addons I have because I am wating to get a new video card. I just use flight1 atr, fs2crew for atr, bev summer, freeflow florida, small other addons and alot of pai traffic packs, when I get a new video card, now that would be a different storyRegardsAlexhttp://fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
